Military action alone will not be enough for the solution of the Syrian crisis, affirmed the German Foreign Ministry in a statement Thursday.
Efforts toward finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis are of fundamental importance for Germany, added the statement.
Berlin will exert utmost efforts to participate with its partners to attain this goal, it said.
The statement affirmed that Germany will boost its civilian efforts in Syria and its neighboring countries to support refugees and displaced persons.
The statement, meanwhile, said that the German government decided to deploy forces to confront terrorist acts committed by Daesh group.
The statement did not reveal where the forces will be deployed.
