Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "While some circles intended at our democracy and economy, we made vital preparations about our democracy, economy and foreign policies." Speaking at Justice and Development (AK) Party's parliamentary group meeting, Erdogan briefed about 10th Development Plan. Erdogan said, they aim the economy to grow by 5.5 per cent, which would rise national income to $1.3 trillion, while surging per capita income to $16,000 by 2018. Erdogan added, they targeted private sector investments to reach $ 1.6 trillion within the next 5 years. "Within the framework of 10th Development Plan, we will continue economic-social structural change policies, and make Istanbul rank among 25 best global finance centers in the world," added Erdogan. He also said, they aimed the manifacturing industry exports to reach $250 billion by 2018, and increase the share of upper-middle and high-end technology products among them. Emphasizing that Turkey met 54 per cent of its defense need from domestic production since 2011, Erdogan said, domestic defense industry will be further strenghtened. Erdogan also stated the number of airway passengers, which is annually $151 million at the moment, will be increased to $232 million by 2018, and added, "Istanbul will be an international transit and maintanence center in airway sector." He announced the tourism aim as 42 million visitors a year and $45 billion tourism income by 2018. Erdogan also stated, they would continue to pursue efficient and active foreign policy, and keep up Turkey's contributions for regional and global peace. "Our best capital is our brotherhood, we will reach our aims by strenghtening our unity and our democracy. We will never let such a perception that the latest events led disintegration of Turkey, on the contrary, all ethnicities, all sects, we will emphatyze with each other," said Erdogan, calling on people from different sects to not be deceived by the games against the national unity. Erdogan added, the police' authority will be increased before these kind of events, and said, "Sure, we examine the events. We will determine the ones provided logistics and acted violently support one by one ."
