The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will show its staunch support to Libya's reconstruction and restoration of domestic governance, local news agency WAM quoted Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as saying on Sunday. Sheikh Mohammed, who is also deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces, made the remarks while discussing Libya's current situation with visiting Chairman of the Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdel Jalil. The crown prince said UAE will stand side by side with the Libyan people for the country's future. While agreeing that security and stability should be established across Libya, the two leaders believed that national unity and reconciliation should be realized so that a unified leadership can be elected. They also held that Libyans' appeals for stability, security and progress should also be accomplished. The UAE government recognized the NTC as the sole legitimate representative of Libyan people on June 12.
