Improving the economic situation in Libya is linked to achieving political security and stability, UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler said.
Kobler also expressed happiness over Commander of Petroleum Facilities Guards (PFG) Ibrahim Jathran's and tribal leaders' support for the UN-backed Presidential Council as well as the Government of National Accord (GNA).
Flanked by a host of his advisers, Kobler on Thursday visited the Libyan oil-rich town of Ras Lanuf where he held a closed-door meeting with Jathran.
"Back from RasLanuf. Economic development of Libya requires security, political stability and unity," the UN envoy wrote on Twitter.
