
Mayor of Sana'a capital Abdel-Qader Hilal and his accompanied delegation returned home on Friday after participating in the session of 13th general conference of the Organization of Islamic Cities and Capitals in Makkah on Sunday. At the conference which was attended by 60 countries and 70 cities, the Saudi King, Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, has granted US$200 million for the infrastructure of the Palestinian cities. The Mayor pointed out that the capital Sana'a was elected as a member of the administrative council at the Organization of Islamic Cities and Capitals, adding a number of recommendations were approved in the session, topped by the establishment of experiments studies to preserve the historic towns.
