
Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa announced that more than 500 young men and women representing different brackets will take part Monday in an expanded societal dialogue on values and the renewal of the religious discourse.
The dialogue will be organized at the Youth Ministry in coordination between the ministries of Awqfa (endowments), Culture as well as Youth and Sports.
In statements on Sunday, Gomaa said that the societal dialogue comes in light of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisito implement recommendations of the first National Youth Conference held in Sharm el Sheikh last month.
The minister underlined that the dialogue will provide a vision to the religious institutions topped by Al Azhar and the church pertaining to renewing religious discourse, emphasizing the Egyptian identity, overcoming violence as well as terrorism and entrench the religious and humanitarian values in the society.
Gomaa further reiterated that his ministry will discuss a work plan to renew religious discourse, preparing preachers especially the youth and activate the role of mosques to spread the true Islamic culture.
The dialogue will kick off Monday in the presence of the ministers of Awqaf, Culture as well as Youth and Sports Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, Helmy el Namnam and Khaled Abdel Aziz respectively as well as representatives of Al Azhar and the Church.
