
The Ministry of International Cooperation said on Thursday that meetings of the eighth session of the Egyptian-Sudanese border committee were held in Khartoum on Wednesday and Thursday between officials from the Egyptian Ministry's of International Cooperation and the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A statement issued by the ministry said an agreement was reached on removing all obstacles that hinder work at Qastal and Arqin border crossings.
It said a conference of businessmen in the two countries was also held to discuss the situation on the crossings and facilitate the movement on them.
The Sudanese side vowed to pump major investments and offer logistic services near the border crossings.
