
The 62nd session of the executive bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs kick-started here on Sunday, focusing on preparations for an Arab economic and social development conference due in Tunisia in January 2015. Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League for Social Affairs Faeqa Al-Saleh said the meeting had discussed several Arab social issues ahead of the Tunis economic summit. It also considered the implementation of development resolutions made during the last three Arab economic summits in Kuwait in 2009 and in Egypt in 2011 and in Saudi Arabia in 2013, she said. The agenda of the 32nd ordinary session of Arab ministers of social affairs due in December was also discussed during the meeting, she added.
