Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa asserted that Egyptians stand hand in hand with their Christian brothers.
He was speaking following the terrorist attack that hit the Boutroseya Church in Cairo's Abbassiya district yesterday, describing it as a stab in the back of all Muslims and Christians of Egypt.
In exclusive remarks to the state television, Gomaa said these terrorist attacks target Egypt and its security, offering sincere condolences to Pope Tawadros, Christian brothers and their relatives. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
He added that the subject of next Friday's sermon will be "Egyptians: one hand against terrorism".
Terrorism that targets Egyptian people, will be uprooted by thought and law, he further said.
