
Minister of Awqaf Mohammed Mokhtar Gomaa on Sunday pressed for coordinating stances among the various religious institutions in Egypt based on patriotic and national concepts.
Addressing the opening session of a forum organized by the Higher Council for Islamic Affairs under the title of "Equivalent Citizenship.. Rights and Duties, Gomaa noted that good understanding of citizenship required working together in an influential way to build the society regardless of the religious beliefs.
All heavenly religions have prohibited killing people or assaulting their worship places, he added.
Head of the Evangelical denomination in Egypt Andre Zaki, Dean of Mass Media Faculty at Modern University of Egypt and former head of the Egyptian Television and Radio Union attended the forum.
