The Sudanese government is capable of meeting the needs of the Sudanese people, including medicines and basic commodities, Sudanese President Omar el Bashir said on Thursday.
Bashir, who is currently on a visit to the UAE, said his country suffered too much due to separation from South Sudan and US sanctions.
Speaking about the Syrian crisis, Bashir said the military solution in Syria is very dangerous as it will leave millions of Syrian people displaced.
The peaceful solution is the best for the Syrian crisis, Bashir told Abu Dhabi TV channel.
Sudan's participation in the Saudi-led Arab coalition against Houthis in Yemen was meant to protect the Yemeni people, he said.
Bashir further called on former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh not to destroy Yemen and said Sudan received nearly one million people from South Sudan, who fled their country due to conflicts there.
