The cabinet on Sunday called for translating the contents of the recent speech delivered by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah into reality in a way that could maintain national security, stability and development.
The call was made during a weekly cabinet meeting which discussed, inter alia, His Highness the Amir's address to the Kuwaiti people, in which he voiced much concern and dismay at recent tensions and allegations.
His Highness the Amir had emphasized that anybody who could be found guilty in illegal gain cases would be severely punished, urging anyone who might have relevant information or documents to present them to the Public Prosecution immediately.
His Highness the Amir had also considered the emergence of such issues as part of a carefully considered scheme purposed to undermine the State, its constitution and institutions and to disrupt its security and stability.
Therefore, His Highness the Amir had urged the Kuwaiti people to stand united in face of any attempt to plunder public funds, to ensure solidarity, to respect the rule of law and judiciary and to maintain the values and constants of the Kuwaiti society. (
