Countering terrorism cannot be achieved without Syria

Suleiman Franjieh, head of Al-Marda Party, stressed that the U.S.-Zionist project that is targeting Syria is aimed at bringing the country back to the age of ignorance, stressing that countering terrorism cannot be fulfilled without Syria.
In an interview with the Syrian TV Satellite Channel on Sunday, Franjieh said that President Bashar al-Assad is an extraordinary and strong personality, who derives his strength from his belief in his people and army.
“We are with the political choice that supports the secular Syria of the right democratic will… and the presidential elections proved the correctness of its track,” he added.
The Lebanese politician clarified that the chaos scheme, which is targeting the region, serves Israel, stressing that the resistance axis is strong and the USA cannot impose its will on it.
