
Egypt and Jordan called for garnering the international community's efforts to combat terrorism and terrorist groups, said Spokesman for Egyptian Presidency Alaa Youssef on Wednesday.
The spokesman said the remarks came during a meeting between Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah II, currently on a working visit to Moscow to take part in the opening of the International Aviation and Space Salon.
The two leaders underlined the importance of sustaining coordination in the military and security domains between the two countries.
The Jordanian king expressed support to Egypt.
Sisi lauded the role played by Jordan to support Arab countries in its capacity as member of the Security Council.
The two leaders called for finding a political solution to the four-year-long Syrian crisis to end the suffering of the Syrians and preserve the integrity of the Syrian lands.
The Palestinian issue figured high on the agenda of their talks as they underlined the importance of breaking the current stalemate in the peace process and resuming peace negotiations in accordance with international terms of reference.
As for Libya, they called for boosting legitimate Libyan institutions and supporting political solution to achieve security and stability for the Libyans.
Talks also tackled the situation in Iraq and the importance of backing Iraqi government to address current challenges.
