"The GCAA encourages all manufacturers and drone innovators to join a common platform to design, develop and test drones within the eco-airspace which is planned to be established in the first quarter of 2017. The authority announced the formation of a (Multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholders) Rule Making task in charge of revamping and looking at opportunity for simplification of the rule framework to facilitate "UAS integration" without compromising safety," Ismaeil Al Blooshi, Assistant Director-General of the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector, said.
