Gulf unity stressed as the ultimate goal

The Royal Court's Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today received the participants of the second "The Gulf Union Conference" held under the kind auspices of His Majesty the King with the slogan "The Gulf Union: Future and Destiny" and attended by a host of politicians and intellectuals from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The minister welcomed the participants praising their good efforts to achieve the aspired goals of this conference for the interest and the welfare of GCC countries and peoples.

The minister commended the ideas and suggestions tabled for discussion during the conference aimed to serve the aspirations and to achieve more integration and cohesion among the member states in all fields to reach the ultimate goal of unity, affirming that the Gulf Union is the goal sought by all.

The minister lauded the strong historic, fraternal and familial bonds among the Gulf peoples and their shared destiny.
