
The Knowledge Summit 2016 will kick off tomorrow in Dubai, under the patronage of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The two-day summit themed 'Knowledge - Present and Future', is being organised under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF).
Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF, noted that the summit will represent a global platform that gathers knowledge makers, guests of honour, international key officials of the government and private sectors, and other significant media figures.
He added, "We look forward to holding cooperation partnerships and agreements with a number of participating entities to enhance the foundation's strategy, aimed at preparing intellectual Arab generations who are able to develop their societies in all fields."
The Knowledge Summit is the first event to fully focus on the localisation of knowledge, giving the opportunity to participants to launch initiatives and programmes to help transform the Arab community into a knowledge-based community.
