Kuwait defence minister, US diplomat discuss military cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah discussed with US Charge d'Affaires Michael J. Adler a number of issues of common interest. Adler was accompanied by the outgoing head of the US Military Cooperation Office Gen. Rick Matson and the latter's successor Gen. Scott Williams, the Department of Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the ministry announced Thursday.
Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah thanked Matson for his service in the country and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The meeting touched on promoting bilateral ties and discussed matters of mutual interests.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Mohammad Khaled Al-Khuder, Deputy Chief of staff for intelligence and security Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Al-hudhud and Deputy Chief of the General staff for operations and plans Maj. Gen. Bader Al-Mazyan.
