
Presided over by speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the council held here today its 55th ordinary session. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Fahad bin Meted Al-Hamad, assistant speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, said that the council discussed a number of issues on its agenda. Al-Shura council approved a draft scientific and educational cooperation memorandum between the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary. The council also approved a possibility of establishing infrastructure company of the railway owned fully by the state in addition to that the lands and facilities of Saudi Railways Organization are to be transferred to the company in order to enable the organization applying duties of the railways authority. Majlis Al-Shura also listened to a viewpoint of the Telecommunication, Transport and Information Technology Committee regarding annual report of the Saudi Railways Organization for the fiscal year 1433/1434H. The council also discussed a report of the Health and Environment Affairs Committee regarding a draft basic law for the Arab Union for Natural Conservations. Majlis Al-Shura also listened to a report of Housing, Water and Public Services Committee regarding an annual report of the Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization for the fiscal year 1433/1434H. Finally, Al-Shura council discussed a report of the Islamic and Judicial Affairs Committee regarding an annual report of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution for the fiscal year 1433/1434H.
