
Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy conferred on Sunday with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah on means of bolstering bilateral relations. A statement released Sunday by the Foreign Ministry said the two sides agreed on holding the upcoming round of the joint cooperation committee in Cairo soon. They also agreed on resuming cooperation between the diplomatic institutions in both countries so as to enhance training of diplomats and further cooperation in the various domains, said the statement. The two top diplomats also probed regional and international issues, mainly means of reaching a political settlement for the Syrian crisis, as well as efforts exerted to render the Geneva II conference a success.
