
The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, Iyad Ameen Madani, has condemned the recent bomb blast at a shopping centre in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, which killed scores of innocent people, injuring several others.
In a statement, Mr. Madani deplored the attacks as criminal, and conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims, urging authorities to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The Secretary-General reiterated the position of the OIC in denouncing terrorism and extremism in all forms and manifestations and restated the solidarity of the organisation with Nigeria in its effort to combat the menace.
