Prime Minister Sherif Ismail underscored the major importance of production in this stage, noting that the government's program shows interest in promoting all production sectors, topped by industry and agriculture.
Ismail's remarks were made on the sidelines of the first meeting of the ministerial committee on production.
Developing production sectors, Ismail noted, would help Egypt carry out several development projects that would increase production rates and competitiveness of Egyptian products in local and foreign markets.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of housing, electricity, military production, agriculture, petroleum, water resources and irrigation, public sector affairs and workforce, in addition to representatives of the parties concerned.
