Policemen have ended a sit-in outside the Sharqiya Police HQ after successful talks with a number of senior security figures.
The policemen met with Assistant Interior Minister for Public Security Major General Kamal el Dali and other security leaders who convinced them to submit their demands through legal channels for the best interest of Egypt.
An agreement was reached with the policemen to end their sit-in until Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar reaches a decision about their demands before September 5, a security source said.
Policemen are seeking risk allowance, security incentives and to have their pension based on their last paid wages.
