State committee seeks expanding poultry farms

The poultry promotion committee reviewed on Tuesday means of establishing giant and up-to-date poultry farms to double the poultry output.
Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed - who chaired the committee meeting - said the poultry industry is a promising sector whose investments stood at EGP 30 billion.
He added that the sector secured jobs for about 2.5 million workers.
The meeting also addressed the government's efforts to confront rising prices as well as means of expanding yellow maize cultivation for feeding poultry.
