Assad forces killed 33 people in the suburbs of the capital Damascus, 19 in Raqqah and 29 in cities across Syria, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group which tracks civilian and dissident casualties. There were children and women among the dead with many people injured. The Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) said fierce clashes took place between the Syrian opposition and regime forces at the Quneitra crossing on the Golan Heights.
