
Multiple approaches to the waste management system in Abu Dhabi were discussed today at the 2nd stakeholder workshop on the Abu Dhabi Waste Master Plan 2040.
Organised by Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi, the workshop brought together senior executives from the relevant fields, who actively participated in the session and shared their insights on the modeling phase of the Waste Master Plan.
Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer said, "The workshop was extremely successful, as we have achieved significant progress with the support and feedback of the participants."
"We have contemplated multiple approaches of the waste management system in order to identify the best opportunities for reshaping the system and delivering maximum returns for the emirate. From collection, infrastructure and facilities to current legislation and policies, all of these aspects have to be taken into consideration to understand which links in the chain need to be strengthened. Implementing this process and gathering this data has allowed us to reach a pivotal point in the plan’s development," he added
