
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated on Monday in the works of the economic committee of the Arab League Social and Economic Council which was held at the AL's Secretariat-General in Egyptian capital Cairo.
Mohammed Saleh Shalwah, the Adviser to the UAE Minister of Economy,led the UAE's delegation to the meeting.
The meeting is to prepare the social and economic file which will presented to the Council next Thursday before submitting it to the upcoming Arab Summit on 29th March in Jordan.
The meeting will also discuss joint economic cooperation between the AL and the United Nations, investments in Arab countries and a project for green belts in the Arab World.
A proposal to establish an Arab environmental centre for sustainable transport was also examined.
