Upgrading labour, social services discussed

Labour, Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan today discussed with a team of consultants from Arab Planning Institute (API) led by Dr. Awni Hamdan Al-Rushoud, ways to promote development initiatives and their implementation mechanisms. 

The meeting targeted benefiting from the API's expertise in upgrading and streamlining labour, development and social services provided for citizens. 

The minister pointed out the ministry's keenness on implementing national strategies designed to serve various categories of the community, including childhood, persons of special needs, the elderly and other programmes contribute to achieving the citizens' social security.

Al-Rushoud welcomed cooperation with the ministry in terms of setting up joint programmes focus on improving services provided for citizens and attaining the desired sustainable development.
