Eva Longoria disclosed during an interview with Access Hollywood that more than one Apple employee has breached her privacy by contacting her using the personal information she provided the company.
The 39-year-old actress made the claims while talking to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover Wednesday about the hundreds of nude and semi-nude celebrity photos leaked over the weekend.
"I've had a lot of problems of people breaking into my email," Longoria said, explaining that she wasn't specifically hacked. "Not hacked, just go get it from the stores and I had a big problem with that."
"Wait, what were they sending you? Like, 'Hi Eva, my name is John?'" Hoover probed.
"Yeah. 'I made a dress I want to send it to you, I work at the Apple Store here in San Antonio' and I'm like... what? Did someone give out my email? Or my phone! 'I saw your phone number from your profile, I just wanted to call and say hi I'm a fan.' ...There are a lot of privacy issues," Longoria said.
Access Hollywood contacted the Apple store in San Antonio, but staffers seemed to be unaware of the incident. Similarly, they were unable to get in touch with a spokesperson from Apple corporate to discuss the matter.
Longoria's comments about her privacy being breached by Apple employees came days before the company's CEO announced a series of new features that will be implemented to strengthen user security.
"We want to do everything we can do to protect our customers, because we are as outraged if not more so than they are," Tim Cook said of the photo leaks.
