One man was killed and two others injured early Saturday when a gunman opened fire at the Music City Mall in Odessa, Texas, police said. Police were en route to investigate a report of people refusing to leave the mall's Ten Sports Bar and Grill when shots were fired at about 1:35 a.m., the Odessa American reported. A 23-year-old man and two others were taken to a hospital, the newspaper said. The 23-year-old, Pablo Jimenez, died at Medical Center Hospital from gunshot wounds, police said. Jesus Garcia, 21, was released from the hospital and Jovanie Bernal, 19, was listed in fair condition, a hospital spokesperson told the newspaper. The police said in a release the shooting suspect is a black man between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall and weighing 180-200 lbs. A police officer told the newspaper a suspect had been apprehended but declined to confirm if it was related to the mall shooting.
