The Revolutionary Armed Forces ( FARC) of Colombia rebels carried out an attack on Friday in southeastern Colombia, which left two children injured and 20 houses destroyed, authorities said. The rebel group threw explosives in an attempt to destroy a police station, Javier Rosero, secretary of the southeastern Putumayo department where the attack took place, told the press. Rosero said that the two seriously injured children were taken to a hospital in La Hormiga for treatment. On the other hand, FARC rebels also attacked an oil infrastructure located in the same area bordering Ecuador, causing damages to oil wells.
