Two people were killed in grenade attack on Sunday in the central Philippine province of Capiz, state police said on Monday. The victims, Nerissa Lavado and eight month pregnant Ritchele Marquez, were sleeping inside their house when a grenade was lobbed by unknown men at their home in Libo-on village in Mabusao town, said local police investigator Edwin Javedra. Two other people, Marinelle Marquez, 19, and 52-year-old Maria Sangrones, were wounded in the attack. Authorities recovered the safety pin of the grenade used in the attack. Probers have yet to determine the motive behind the incident.
