
Two people were killed in a shooting at Naval Station Norfolk in the U.S. State of Virginia Monday night, local media reported early Tuesday morning. One Navy sailor and one civilian were killed in the incident, which occurred at about 11:20 p.m. Monday, Virginian broadcaster WAVY News said, adding that no other injuries were reported. Naval Station Norfolk was briefly put on lockdown, but the restriction had been lifted as of 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, according to a statement on the Facebook page of Naval Station Norfolk. U.S. Navy security forces have responded to the shooting and an investigation is underway, the statement said.
