Flooding in China's Sichuan province was responsible for the deaths of three people and reports of nine people missing, officials said. Provincial rescue officials said heavy rains in Ya'an City triggered a flood that destroyed two power stations Monday and killed one person, China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported. Three people were reported missing. Flooding also was reported in Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture, killing one person, the sources said. One person was reported missing. A rain-triggered mudslide in Ya'an damaged a bridge and several houses and killed one person, Xinhua reported. Five other people were missing.
