
A car explosion by the police station in the Sunzha region killed three police officers and injured four, press service of Chechnya’s police told Itar-Tass on Monday. The car, which exploded by the police station in Chechnya’s Sunzha region, was driven by a suicide terrorist, press service of the republic’s police added. “At 01:45 Moscow time the police at the traffic police station saw a VAZ car, which rushed along the street and ignored the police’ demand to stop,” the source said. The police tried to stop the car by putting up a barrier. The people in the car saw what the police were doing and rushed to the police station, where they exploded the vehicle. The explosion damaged cars parked nearby, broke windows in neighbouring houses. It left a hole of three meters in diameter and one meter deep. The blast wave damaged building of the police station. A police investigation is underway.
