As many as 36 children got poisoned onboard a train bound from the Siberian city of Abakan to Moscow, a spokesman for the emergency medicine service told Itar-Tass on Friday.
“In all, 39 people, including 36 children, sought medical assistance. All have symptoms of food intoxication,” the spokesman said, adding that all of them had been taken to hospital. “The diagnosis will be known after a medical examination. So far, it has been established that the children had meals at the dining car. It is being established what exactly caused intoxication.”
Earlier on the day, a police source said that the children had felt sick during the train trip. The train was met in Moscow by emergency doctors.
