Four people were injured in a 5.2- magnitude earthquake that jolted southern Philippine province of North Cotabato on Saturday, local officials said on Sunday.
About 32 houses were destroyed and 123 others were damaged in the province's Makilala town, said its mayor Rudy Caoagdan.
He said evacuation centers have been set up for the homeless people and the local government will provide the quake victims with daily necessities.
A state of calamity had been declared in the town, and a command center has been set up to deal with damage caused by the earthquake, according to Caoagdan.
A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the province at 12:36 local time on Saturday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The epicenter of the quake was 20 kilometers southwest of Kidapawan City, with a depth of three kilometers.
