
At least four people were injured, one of them seriously Wednesday in a traffic accident involving three vehicles in the southwestern Japanese prefecture of Fukuoka, local officials said. The accident occurred at around 9:45 a.m. local time when a lorry collided with a taxi and a light vehicle from behind on a local road in Fukuoka City of the prefecture, according to the city's fire department. A spokesperson for the fire department told Xinhua that after the crash, emergency ambulance teams carried a total of four men and women, including a male passenger who was traveling by the taxi to hospitals, adding that the passenger has been treated for serious injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
