5 killed as truck collides with car in Kazakhstan

Five people were killed after a truck collided with a car full of people in the east of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry said in a statement on Monday. A Mercedes truck collided with a Volkswagen car late on Sunday night on the Pavlodar-Kyzylorda highway, the ministry said."Volkswagen's driver and his four passengers, whose identity is currently being established, were killed at the scene of the accident," the statement from the ministry said, adding that a fire engulfed the Volkswagen after the crash and the vehicle burnt down.
