Six people died and one was injured in an electrocution accident in central China''s Henan Province, local authorities said Wednesday. According to China''s (Xinhua) News Agency, the accident happened on Tuesday when workers from Henan Water and Power Consulting Engineering Co., Ltd. were conducting a field survey in the village of Shiqiao in Xinyang City, sources with the publicity department of the municipal committee of Communist Party said. The workers were carrying a tripod, which accidentally touched the high-voltage wire, according to the department. The injured has since been rushed to a local hospital, and the injuries are not life-threatening, sources said. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
