
At least night people were killed and 26 others injured Saturday in a traffic accident involving a bus carrying university students near Kayseri city in central Turkey, private Dogan news agency reported. The tragedy took place on a slippery highway near Erciyes- Hacilar Mountains on the outskirts of Kayseri on Saturday evening. The driver lost control of the wheels of the bus, which slid into a light pole by the road. The students, from Nigde University, were on their way back to the city from skiing in Erciyes Mountain, according to the report. Several ambulances have taken the injured, including three in critical conditions, to hospitals in Kayseri, said the report, adding that Turkish police have launched an investigation into the accident.
