Flooding from days of heavy rain has forced the evacuation of about 3,000 families in northern Argentina.
The rains swelled the Paraguay and Parana Rivers, and families living in inundated low-lying areas have been evacuated in the provinces of Misiones and Formosa, both of which border Paraguay.
In Buenos Aires, cabinet chief Jorge Capitanich said Monday that President Cristina Fernandez will tour the flood-hit areas this week.
Officials say they received some relief as rains recently stopped for the first time in a week in the Misiones region along the borders with Paraguay and Brazil.
Paraguay is starting to receive international aid after flooding forced the evacuation of 300,000 people.
