At least 16 killed in bus accident in Peru

At least 16 people including two children died early Friday in a bus accident in southern Peru, Peruvian police said. The accident left 13 people injured. The long-distance bus when off the Panamericana Sur road and plummeted down an 80-metre ravine just after midnight near Arequipa, about 860 kilometres south of Lima, authorities said. The cause of the accident was being investigated.
