An Australian priest from remote New South Wales (NSW) state was killed by his bull on Monday, AAP reported Wednesday.
72-year-old Anglican priest Father Max-Augustine Eggert was working on his farm in the Wollemi National Park, approximately 130 km northwest of Sydney when the tragedy occurred.
Emergency services were called to the incident. However, they were unable to revive the man.
Fellow priest Father Thomas Peacock told AAP on Wednesday that Eggert and the bull had had some disagreements in the past.
"But you don't blame the bull, you don't blame Max," Peacock said.
"It's just one of those things that happened."
The priest was also a psychologist and businessman who had published more than 30 books about both psychology and business management.
NSW police noted members of the NSW rural fire service destroyed the bull following the attack.
