Three people died Thursday from gas emitted by a power generator at a military housing complex in Baalbek. Toxic gases from a power generator resulted in the deaths of Fayez Haddad, 72, and his two sons, Samir, 52, and Lance Cpl. Elias Haddad, 40. Elias’ wife, Emilia Ghattas Khoury, 35, survived the accident along with her 4-year-old son, who happened to be at a neighbors’ home at the time of the accident. The bodies of Fayez and Elias were taken to Dar al-Amal Hospital while Samir’s body was taken to Mortada Hospital. Emilia was rushed to Mortada Hospital near her home for treatment.
