A small Chinese fighter crashed Friday at an air show in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, but no casualties were reported, authorities said.At the air show in Pucheng County, the jet -- known as Flying Leopard -- plunged to the ground and exploded but television footage showed the pilot had ejected and parachuted before the crash, the official Xinhua news agency reported. Witnesses were also quoted as saying the pilot ejected.Xinhua reporters said the air show went on despite the incident. The three-day event opened Friday as part of the China International General Aviation Convention being held in Xi'an, capital city of Shaanxi.Shanghai Daily.com said the jet was performing at the show. It said it was not known, however, whether the pilot's parachute opened fully.An ambulance was dispatched to the crash site to attend to the pilot.The report said the incident happened more than a mile away from the spectator area.
