The death toll of Thursday's shootings at Chattanooga, Tennessee, has risen to five after a male U.S. Navy sailor died in the early hours of Saturday, the Navy said in a statement.
The military service man succumbed to his wounds received in the gun rampage, which killed four U.S. Marines at the scene, according to the statement.
The sailor's name will not be released until 24 hours after the next of kin process is completed, the statement said.
According to the initial investigation of police authorities, 24-year-old Muhammad Youseff Abdulazeez, the gunman, opened fire at two sites on Thursday at the Chattanooga reserve center and killed four Marines and wounded three others.
Abdulazeez died in police gunfire.
