Deputies in Washington are investigating after a dog found a severed leg in a forest and brought it to its owner, officials said. A dog belonging to 93-year-old Bill Flowers found the leg last week on the Nisqually Reservation, KOMO-TV, Seattle, reported. "I examined it," Flowers said. "I picked it up, and looked at the toes and nothing. None of the leg or foot was damaged -- from the knee down it wasn't damaged at all." Flowers said the leg was grey in color and looked as though it was dismembered about four inches down from the buttocks. He said he buried it in his backyard and didn't call police until four days later after his daughter urged him to. Flowers said, "I was afraid to call. I'm 93 years old. I didn't want to have to go to the pen for something I didn't do." On Sunday, authorities put a tracking collar on Flowers' dog in hopes that she would lead them to more body parts, CNN reported. The dog did not lead them to anything, but five other search dogs were deployed in the area and they found a skull, pelvis and a rib cage in nearby woods. Authorities said they were unsure whether the remains belonged to a man or a woman.
