
At least six suspected militants were killed and several others injured on Thursday in a US-led drone strike in North Waziristan tribal region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, said reports.
The political administration officials told media that the unmanned aircraft fired two missiles targeting a compound in Shawal area of North Waziristan. According to local media reports, at least six suspected militants, including foreigners, were killed in the strike.
North Waziristan is among Pakistan's seven tribal districts governed by tribal laws and facing militants' insurgency for last many years. Pakistan military is undergoing an operation 'Zarb e Azb' against the local and foreign militants in North Waziristan since June last year.
