A 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit southern Pakistan before dawn on Friday, killing two people and injuring around 100, officials said. The quake damaged several mud houses in Nawabshah district of Sindh province, dpa quoted the province's Information Minister Sharjeel Memonsaid as saying. The US Geological Survey estimated its magnitude at 4.3 and depth at 15.6 kilometers. In September, more than 500 people were killed when a 7.7-magnitude quake struck the south-western province of Balochistan. Another earthquake in 2005 killed over 80,000 people in northern Pakistan.
